The Texas D-1 Ambassadors – Austin Elite team traveled to Houston, TX on March 27-28, 2010 to compete at the Houston Insiders Showcase Event to start the 2010 season. The aggressive and talented players of the 15U and 17U teams coached by Tommy Gregg and Fonzell Martin showed everyone what they came to do, PLAY BALL. The 15U team had a perfect 5-0 record winning the Houston Insiders NCAA division while the 17U team finished in the top 4 in the WNBA division.
The 15U beat the Texas Blazers in their first game of the tournament, followed by another win against Coast-To-Coast and then finished the day with Aldine Lady Fireballs to go 3-0. In Sunday’s bracket play, both games were tough and physical. AE started the morning out beating Hybrid Hoops HSE in a close overtime thriller to win by 3 points and sending them into the Championship game against the host team, Houston Insiders. The game was a very close game, Austin Elite preserved to win by 11 points to claim the championship. This tournament showed how the 15U team used teamwork to claim a victory. Sabrina Berry, Soph from SA Reagan, had an outstanding tournament for the 15u team. Newcomer, Fr Ketara Chapel from Temple, and Rachel Purl, Fr Vista Ridge, put everyone on notice that they have arrived.
In their first game of the day the 17U beat the CUTtheNet, followed by Houston Insiders 17U Select and ending with a blow out of Houstonians on Saturday to win their pool and finish 3-0. In Sunday’s bracket play, the AE played a powerful and aggressive game against the tall Texas Blazers 17u team that has 3 D-1 players who have already committed to Rice, Houston and Pittsburgh. This was a fast-paced game that came down to the end. It was a battle, but in the end the AE17U lost a close one by 4. Danielle Lofton, Jr from Akins, proved to be all-star caliber as she put on an all-star show. Keep an eye on Raveen Burton, Jr from Pflugerville, who displayed great speed and wizardry at point.

2014 G 5’7 Shoniquia Coleman
Westview middle School
2014 G 5’7 Shoniquia Coleman has nice size with a great skill level. Shoniquia will suit up with the D-1 Ambassadors Elite team this summer and will do great things with this group. Shoniquia has great ball handling passing, and shooting skills with the ability to take you off the bounce.
One of the many things I like about Shoniquia is her ability to create her own shot. She can see the floor very well and plays very well in a team environment.
FOR MORE INFORMATION ON SHONIQUIA PLEASE VISIT OUR COLLEGE PROSPECT DATABASE.

Team 2014 traveled to Houston this weekend to play in the Primetime Spring Shootout. We tipped of the tournament against the Houston Lady Heat. The girls came out with a great deal of intensity and eventually picked the heat apart. The team is really starting to pull together and communicate while on the floor.
D-1 Ambassadors 2014 Elite
The girls went up against the H-Town Lady Ballers for the championship game. It was a very good game with both teams knocking down shots early. With an 8 point lead going into the second half team 2014 took off like a rocket and put the game out of reach.

The Lady Cardinals finished the season at 37- 3 with a lost at the Fran Erwin Center lastnight to Wakeland High. Del Valle who made it all the way to the State tournament came in ready to play. The first half was a really good battle with neither team able to pull away. Down five going into the second half Del Valle quickly tied the game with a big shot from 2010 G Joslinn Douglas. This become a free throw contest down the stretch and Del Valle could not knock them down to stay ahead in the game.
Del Valle Lady Cardinals
The Coaching staff at Del Valle has done a phenomenal job with this group and continues to show why they are the best in this area.

Why the Texas D-1 Ambassadors?
Does your current club (if any) just play in tournaments every weekend or do they have a PLAN for your child that includes a comprehensive understanding of the recruiting process and the college connections to implement it? If the answer is NO, or if it’s fuzzy DO NOT risk chasing what amounts to $150,000 in scholarship money in an unorganized fashion. High level club basketball is not about playing with your neighborhood friends.
The D-1 Ambassadors is now the largest program of it’s kind in the COUNTRY. We had D-1 SCHOLARSHIP players come from all 3 of our varsity teams in Texas last summer as well as from our Louisiana players.
Over 70 D-1 Scholarship alumni and countless others at JuCo & D-3. We are now over $10,000,000 earned by our players.
We publish our own full color basketball recruiting magazine (the only club to do so in the COUNTRY.)
We have our own recruiting service and database. (No need to worry about exposure or getting noticed in an obscure gym without college coaches around).
Invites to the top tournaments and camps in the country, with premium floor assignments in front of college coaches.
Qualified coaches, with integrity and background checks. There’s a reason that 20 plus high school coaches have had their children play in our program.
Automatic invite to the All American Prodigy Camp in Austin the weekend of March 13-14th
3 sets of college quality uniforms: home, away & camp.
1 pair custom Nike LeBron Soldier 3 OR Hyperize
Founder: Coach Max Ivany
Current contributor to ESPNU, Hoop Scoop Online, and various other recruiting/ranking services.
